The shoulder joint allows for a wide range of motion and flexibility. Unfortunately, the versatility of this joint can make it prone to a variety of injuries. Damage to the soft tissues that stabilize the shoulder and degenerative conditions can create pain, inflammation and limitations to range of motion and functionality of the joint.
If you are experiencing severe or chronic pain in your shoulder you should see your physician. They may refer you to an orthopaedic specialist for further evaluation and treatment.
