Orthopaedics (4 South)

4 South is a 30 bed Medical Surgical unit whose primary specialty is Orthopaedics. In addition, we take care of a wide variety of post surgical and post trauma patients. Our mission is to provide patient care services to the physiologically stable adult medical/surgical patient who requires direct care, observation, health maintenance teaching, and discharge planning. In order to carry out our mission we have a team of specialists. Our team does not only includes physicians and nurses, but also physical therapists, occupational therapist, nutritionist/dieticians, social workers, discharge planners, wound care specialists and many more on a daily basis. We take full advantage of the ancillary services that are provided at UNMH to provide the best overall care available to our patients.
