Trent Taylor, MD
Trent Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr Taylor graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2003, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed residency at University of California, San Diego in 2006 and was awarded the Kaiser Permanente Award for Excellence in Teaching as a resident. He completed Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at University of New Mexico in 2009. He has been actively involved with quality improvement and assessment within the division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and serves as a Director of Quality Assurance and Improvement. He was recently chosen as a recipient of the Stellar Consultant Award for 2011 by the Primary Care Leadership at UNM. Dr Taylor's current clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, including viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, cirrhosis and other chronic liver diseases. He also enjoys managing patients with general gastroenterologic diseases and performs endoscopic hemorrhoidal treatment.
