The primary mission of the UNMH Center for Digestive Diseases (UNMH-CDD) is to provide New Mexicans with the highest quality patient care in complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The physicians at the UNMH-CDD are highly talented academic clinicians and have wide-ranging clinical expertise. Many are recognized locally and nationally as leaders in their respective fields. Our dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and support staff at the UNMH-CDD are committed to providing expert care and treatment options to fit each patient’s needs with the goal of improving their health and quality of life. We also serve as a tertiary referral center to provide support for other gastroenterologists in the Albuquerque community and to provide second opinion for patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver problems.
The UNMH-CDD cares for more than 10,000 patients a year. The physicians, staff and technology are on the cutting edge of development in research, teaching and patient care. This Center is a state-of-the-art facility located close to the main hospital and is solely dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. Patient satisfaction is our primary goal. Our facility was designed with quality, safety, patient privacy and convenience in mind.
The physicians at the UNMH-CDD specialize in a wide-range of gastrointestinal diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver diseases, liver transplant, motility disorders, pancreatic and biliary diseases, colon cancer, esophageal and gastric diseases, small intestinal diseases, and diarrheal malabsorptive disorders. We are here to serve as your resource for digestive disease questions and to provide best treatment options for your digestive diseases.
