Cornea transplantation including partial cornea transplants, endothelial keratoplasty (“DSAEK”) and anterior lamellar keratoplasty (“DALK”), Pterygium Surgery using the “P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for pterygiumÒ method of Dr. Lawrence Hirst, Dry Eyes, Herpetic Eye Disease, and other Corneal Infections, Tumors of the Conjunctiva and ocular surface, Artificial Cornea, Keratoprosthesis, Improving access to eye care in rural New Mexico and other underserved populations.

Research Interests:

Dr Rose has strong research interests in using Ranibizmab to treat pterygium recurrences, surgical research on techniques to optimize pterygium cosmesis while eliminating recurrences, and novel methods for teaching and evaluating medical student ophthalmic skill acquisition.
