The UNMH Children's Hospital Surgical Services Department is a provider of 13 pediatric subspecialties. We offer the highest level of intensive care for premature infants and children ages up to 18 in the State of New Mexico as well as surrounding rural areas.
The mission of the UNMH Children's Hospital Surgical Services is to provide service excellence, innovation and leadership while recognizing the vital role of family involvement in every aspect of the surgical care of children. We recognize that the family is the child's primary source of strength and one of the most important facets of family-centered care is to encourage collaboration among patients, families and hospital personnel.
UNMH Children's Hospital Surgical Services is committed to support the provision of state of the art research and teaching. The team is focused on helping build healthier, happier lives for New Mexico kids and reflecting a positive energy that is inspired by the courage of our pediatric patients. With a nurturing atmosphere and respectful attitude, we take pride in being a place that cares for children in an environment that encourages diversity, growth, teamwork, communication, recognition of achievement and collaborative relationships.
