Dr. Waldman received his MD degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1971 and completed residency training in Pediatrics followed by a fellowship in Cardiology, both at Children's Memorial/Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. He then studied Pediatric Cardiology Pathology at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Forensic Examination. Dr. Waldman is a tenured Professor at the University of New Mexico in both the Department of Pediatrics and Pathology. His special medical interests include Pediatric Cardiac Pathology, pulmonary artery hypertension in children, and therapeutic cardiac catheterization. Dr. Waldman is also a Professor at the Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Management where he is involved in teaching and research. His current research program focuses on healthcare strategy, applying business principles to healthcare management.
