This consumer-run program offers a peer support for fellow consumers. Peer bridgers help to facilitate a client's recovery by encouraging development of meaningful sense of self, apart from their psychiatric condition. Our program assists individuals with focusing on self advocacy, self empowerment, and self care, which are necessary for a productive life. Peer bridgers have personal experience and expertise to provide participants with mentorship to support their connections to essential community resources. Some of the resources include services at University of New Mexico Psychiatric Center, as well as other options for support groups and community resources.
