What do you feel is the best thing about the program/area that you work in and why?

The best part of my job is interacting with the great hospital and physician staff of UNMH.  I have the added benefit of being involved in developing and implementing the strategic directions of the Hospital.

What statement would best describe your leadership philosophy?

I believe that working closely with people at all levels of an organization to develop the strategy is very important.  Then facilitating turning the strategy into operations allows people to take ownership of the managing the organization.  Results are an outcome of the ownership.

Please describe one thing in our vision, mission or core values that is most compelling to you as a leader at the Health Sciences Center.

I believe that being involved in solving the health care problems of the people of New Mexico is very important.

What about UNM Hospitals made you choose to work here?

I think that mission and the people of UNMH are first rate and it is an honor to work with them.

What talents do you bring to your position?

I think I have the ability to understand complex health care problems and are able to develop the systems and provide the leadership that improves access and outcomes of medical problems for the people of New Mexico.

What do you like most/best about living and working in Albuquerque?  And New Mexico.

The best part of Albuquerque is the friendliness of the people and their culture, the beauty of the land and fabulous weather.
