The Milagro Program is an innovative, interdisciplinary effort to address the
complex demands of chemically dependent women. As a substance abuse prevention
and treatment program, it provides an array of programs, such as prenatal medical
care, childbirth classes, and parenting guidance, that begin in pregnancy and
continue post-partum. These include outpatient services in its clinic setting
and inpatient services at the residential location, Casitas de Milagros. The
residential program accepts infants and young children into the program, along with
their mothers.
The Milagro team includes substance abuse counselors, nurse case managers,
obstetricians, child development providers, pediatricians, caseworkers, family
practitioners, and a psychiatric consultant.
