UNM Psychiatric Center ASAP Adult Program
Newstart is a twelve-week program with two hours of treatment
contact weekly. The program utilizes a skills based, cognitive-behavioral
format. Individual sessions with primary counselor encouraged. Women
only group available.
Bridges to Recovery is a twelve-week program with three hours
of treatment contact weekly. Based on Newstart Program, but adds emphases on
weekly individual sessions and an additional process group. Particularly
appropriate for those who experience difficulties maintaining abstinence.
Women's Services includes Newstart Groups tailored to women and
a Women's Issue Group. Includes individual counseling appropriate to the
relationship context of women's lives.
Ambulatory Detoxification is designed to medically assist patients
with either an alcohol or drug detoxification. ASAP's Detoxification Program
consists of both medical and therapeutic services.
Opioid Replacement Therapy is designed to stabilize a patient on
legal substances, methadone and buprenorphine, and to provide therapeutic support
services.
Dosing Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:00am to 2:00pm;
Saturday: 7:00am to 11:00am
