Parents are encouraged to stay with their child whenever possible and to visit anytime.
If you cannot stay with your child, please tell him/her where you are going and when
you will be back.
Visiting hours are 11:00 am - 10:00 pm, but visiting hours may vary within different care
units. Our intensive care units, PICU and NBICU, cannot be as flexible with visiting
and do not have sleeping space for parents. Please check with your unit's nursing staff
to learn the guidelines for each unit.
Young Children's Health Clinic (YCHC) Clinic hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. First Thursday of the Month: 1:00pm - 7:00pm. All
other Thursdays 8:00am - 7:00pm.
Pediatric Clinics hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm with additional
urgent care hours on Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children with chronic illnesses
receive care in the Pediatric Specialty Clinic Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Please remember that parents must stay with their child during their outpatient visit.
Cafeteria Services is located on the second floor.
The cafeteria is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the entry gate is closed just step
around to the right and enter through the cash register area.
The Service League runs
the Gift Shop. The gift shop is on the first floor. The Gift Shop is open from
9:00AM - 7:00PM, Monday through Friday. On weekends they are open from 11am to 5pm.
They also operate two Espresso Cafés. The Espresso Cafés are open from 8:00AM - 5:00PM,
Monday through Friday. One is located on the third floor near the Pediatric Clinic
and the other in the Basic Medical Sciences Building.
The information desk can be found at
the first floor lobby near the main entrance and the third floor lobby at the entrance from
the crosswalk. The information desk is open from 8:00am -8:00pm Monday - Friday.
On weekends the hours are from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Holiday hours are 9:00am - 1:00 pm.
The information desk can help with patient information, directions, wheelchairs
(with ID) and more.
Newspapers are sold in
machines at hospital entrances, in the Gift Shop and in other areas in the hospital.
Free reading selections are available in the Volunteer Office.
The HaHaHa cart can be found
rolling around the hospital on Tuesday afternoons. Volunteers give magazines, candy,
books, playing cards, toys, and more to patients.
The Pet Therapy program allows animals to help in the healing. The volunteers and
their partners have had special training and testing.
