UNM Children's Hospitals provides the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the state of New Mexico.  We have been the safety net hospital for the children of New Mexico since our beginning as a public hospital in the 1950's.  But that's not all!

We are one of the leading teaching hospitals nationally for family and rural care.  We specialize in treating children with complex, chronic or congenital conditions.  We are a nationally recognized research institution.  We are a community hospital for all children -providing preventive and primary care to our diverse ethnic population.
